Who We Are

History/Vision & Mission

History and Mission

Impact Communities began in 1935 with pioneers in prevention who implemented what are still some of the most successful prevention approaches today--individual education, capacity-building and environmental change.

Our mission is to ignite communities to work together to protect and strengthen the resiliency of our youth. Our vision is that young people have a strong belief in themselves, the skills and support to make excellent life choices and the resources and resilience needed to grow into healthy adults.

We are a statewide leader in the prevention field, as we provide the latest nationally-proven strategies for youth, families and communities to be safer and healthier.
