FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(Irving, Texas) — Board certified psychiatrist, author and speaker Dr. David Henderson has been named to the board of directors for Drug Prevention Resources, Texas’ oldest drug prevention agency.

Henderson is the founder and president of Four Stones PLLC, a mental health consulting practice in Dallas. He is also the author of the soon-to-be-released, My Teenage Zombie: Resurrecting the Undead Adolescent in Your Home.

“When it comes to intuitively understanding teenagers and their relationships with their parents, few are more enlightened than Dr. Henderson,” says Becky Vance, Drug Prevention Resources’ president and CEO. “Add his background as a clinician experienced with mental health and substance abuse issues and Drug Prevention Resources gains a gigantic advocate for our organization.”

For five years, Dr. Henderson served as the Department Chair of Psychology and Counseling at Criswell College, rebuilding its Masters in Counseling Program and starting the undergraduate major in Psychology. He also helped to develop a fully online counseling curriculum for the school. In addition, Dr. Henderson has served as an adjunct professor of Psychology and Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Dr. Henderson has presented nationally and internationally at conferences for the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, The Christian Association for Psychological Studies, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.

In his spare time, David enjoys fitness training and a good Russian novel.
