(Irving, Texas) – Drug Prevention Resources, the oldest non-profit prevention organization in Texas, has appointed Stuart H. Bright chairman of its board of directors. Mr. Bright previously served as vice chairman and is also chief compliance officer for Bright Equities, LLC, a boutique financial services firm operated by Bright Industries, a family owned and operated company with expertise in oil and gas, commercial and residential real estate development, home building, hospitality, and financial services.
Prior to working with Bright Equities, he served as vice president for State Bank & Trust Co., a family-owned and operated community bank with three locations in the Dallas Metroplex.

Mr. Bright is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. He and his wife, Heidi, live in Lewisville with their three daughters. He is an avid hunter/shooter, spending as much time on the family ranch as possible. He also enjoys golfing and is a member at The Lakes at Castle Hills.
